Mr.  Irfan Mir Halepota, Advocate supported the independent Group during Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) for the year 2016-17.

Mr. Rasheed A Rizvi and Aftab Bajwa were elected for the position of president and secretary respectively. Both the candidates were backed by PTI leader Hamid Khan`s, Professional Group.

Rizvi received 1289 votes while his opponent Farooq H Naek received 1060 votes. Meanwhile for the slot of secretary, Bajwa received 1060 votes against his opponent Safdar Tarrar was successful to take 945 votes.

Farooq H Naek was supported by Asma Jahangir group.

As many as 2,951 lawyers casted their votes in all the main cities of the country on Monday. In Islamabad the polling was held in the premises of Supreme Court building where 496 members took part in the voting process.

It was the first election in which Mr. Irfan Mir Halepota, supported any Group in Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan and casted his Vote.
